Since it is one of the most active/important/used menu item in gretl, it is important its name.

Would "Modelization" be a good single name?

Other options:
Model Specification and Estimation

(I think it is OK to have a long name, because gretl is not prepared for small screens like mobile phones)

Hi all,
I have a very small complaint to make about the GUI label "Model" in the
main gretl window.  I think Model is misnamed since it doesn't contain any
models.  The drop down list consists of estimators, right?  I make a big
deal about the differences between models and estimators in class, there it
is in gretl contradicting me.

Well, I'm not sure I'd say that gretl is contradicting you. I guess the full title of this menu item ought to be "Specify and estimate a model" but it has to be abbreviated: should the abbreviation indicate the process (specification + estimation), the tool (estimator) or the end result (an estimated model)? The proverbial "reasonable people" may differ on this.
