I don't think there's any objection to what you propose; feel free to
pursue it. The Polish gretl contingent have had their own site for a
long time. The English-language site (at least) will probably stay at
sourceforge for the foreseeable future, because I think it makes sense
to have the website and the code + download facilities on the same
(virtual) server. But we can switch the Portuguese link at sourceforge
to point to a new domain if you wish.

Dear Allin, I'm not proposing to create a new Portuguese website outside Sourceforge. My ideia is just to create a new domain:

http://gretl.sourceforge.net/ (OLD)
http://gretl.org/ (NEW)

The "OLD" one won't be removed, but the "NEW" could make it simpler to users find us. Another advantage is using the e-mail henrique[at]gretl[dot]org instead of henrique.andrade[at]ufrgs[dot]br.
