I used the first of your example to do a test commit to git. Everything seems to be ok, except that SourceForge's web interface doesn't contain the commit+push yet (but I would expect a certain lag to be normal). When I'm certain that everything works ok, I can take care of the rest, unless you want to use this as an excuse to play a little with git yourself.
