In my Italian translation I used:

"Attenzione: lo Jacobiano è di rango ridotto"

I don't know whether an analogous phrasing would be considered acceptable 
in the Portuguese linear algebra jargon. In Italian, it's 
technically correct and IMO doesn't sound awkward.
