One more question. I've found some cyrillic-specific "bugs", concerning TeX output, charset and names of dummy variables (texprint.c, genfuncs.c and gretl_intl.c). Should I co-ordinate these changes with you?

Sounds good!  Do either of you have a sourceforge login?  If so, 
please let me know your sf name; and if not, getting an sf login 
is the first step (not difficult).  I'll then add you as a gretl 
developer and you can commit your ru.po to CVS.
