Just a suggestion for the new tab-feature,
In firefox one can switch (one-way) between the tabs simply by Ctrl+Tab which is very convenient since one doesn't need to use the mouse extra.

I am not sure what is my version of GTK, the gretl configure script says
"Build with GTK version: 2.0" but I am seeing in synaptic
libgtk2.0-0 version 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1
