These strings appear in the log of commands activated via the GUI
(that is, the thing that you can view via /Tools/Command log).
And so "Log" refers to this command log.  The "%s" is replaced by
a locale-specific string representing the date and time.  The "#"
is required since this string appears as a comment in a file that
is (in principle) executable as a gretl script.
