What does the scalar icon do? Isn't it just to help us to see the scalars currently stored in our Gretl session? So my idea is to create an icon to allow us to see all the available variable lists in a friendly way.
Finally, I would like to make two observations: (1) this is only a suggestion and, (2) I do not know the efforts required to make such a change (since I do not have the knowledge necessary for such evaluation).
