Apologies for my delayed response. I have been traveling. I tried to install the updated CVS to test with Windows 8, but I was unable to install the package. On the first try I got this error: [report of corrupted DLL in installer]

Hmm, strange. When I test on Windows I usually fetch a local copy of
gretl_install.exe, but to check this issue I tried getting the current snapshot
from sourceforge today, and it installed OK. Maybe some temporary blip
somewhere?
