Well, I don't think so. XP is "old" now. I think we should try to do some detection of OS version and inform the user that some gnuplot features mught now work. Maybe then there could be a workaround to have it working (or even a "patch" for XP users). If the "patch" solution is too costly on maintenance, maybe a solution that just by installing older gnuplot would be enough.

But these are just my thoughts on this.
