Dear Sir,
the problem of the gfortran new release is that the compiler is deeply
bugged  and the produced code is very unstable.
We are happy in the next future to move to Gfortran.

Thanks, Marcin, good detective work! This is now fixed in CVS: if
we get ISO8859-1 output from tramo we'll recode it to UTF-8.

BTW, I see that in the binary package you cite, seats is linked
against libgfortran but tramo is linked against libg2c. Hmm.
