Hi,

I confirm the problem, here is what I did:

Installed 1.9.1 at C:\Program Files\gretl\
Installed snapshot 1.9.1cvs at D:\gretl\            -- It did not install there, only kept there a user file
gretl runs as expected
Uninstalled snapshot 1.9.1cvs                        -- DELETED folder and my user file (kept 1.9.1 at C:\Program Files\gretl\)
I manually deleted C:\Program Files\gretl\

Installed snapshot 1.9.1cvs at D:\gretl\            -- Installation worked as expected.
Dialog box with missing xml file appears.

Here is the workaround:
Create folder C:\Program Files\gretl\.
Copy into it the folder ui from the current installation folder: ui\gretlmain.xml

Good luck,
Hélio

Hello all,

I just downloaded gretl CVS today. After I uninstalled the old version and installed the new CVS, I could not start gretl. The error message is "Failed to open file 'C:\Program Files\gretl\ui\gretlmain.xml': No such file or directory."
I always install gretl in drive D: because my drive C: is already full. No problems happened before.
I am using Windows XP.
Thank you.

Regards,
