As Artur said, please give us as much detail as possible: gretl
version, operating system and type of laptop. Might be useful to
know the screen resolution and whether, if you're on Windows, you
have Display Scaling activated.

I have my macroeconomics students use gretl to prepare graphs of
macro data, and every now and then one of them has the problem you
describe. It's rare, maybe 1 percent of cases. We don't know the
cause of this issue at present but we'll investigate if we can find
out how to replicate it.
