Here on my Windows Vista desktop, and running the latest snapshot, I am getting the same problem even with no special characters on session's name. Additionally, in the machine of my colleague Gretl is saving empty ".gretl" files.
I tried the --debug option but I can't realize what´s wrong. Attached is the "debug.txt" file. I hope this helps.
