I suppose the new changes (gretl_install.exe build 2009-04-23) had introduced an error in opening accented sessions (.gretl) and script (.in) file names in Portuguese.

Thanks for the report.  Can you tell me, does the "No such file or
directory" error message appear as soon as you open the dialog (in
which case it must have an invalid version of the name of the
default folder to look into), or does it come after you select a
file and try to open it?

One other thing you might try: create a program icon for gretl and
under the "properties", specify the program as

gretlw32.exe --debug

This will open a Windows console when you start gretl and there
could be some relevant information written there.
