2) As I switched to a new MacOS-based SVN client I'm unable to automatically login to sourceforge.net and download the .po files. Obviously, my password seems not correct (and I don't even remember the good one indeed :( . Is there a way I could reset the password? Or create a new account?

For years now the code has been in a git repo, not subversion (svn) anymore. So I would guess that that is the problem. (In principle it could be that svn access also still works, don't know.)
