Tramolin uses 'append' to retrieve the "linear series" (adjusted for outliers and with interpolations for missing observations). 'append' tries to add new variables to the current gretl dataset and needs that the new variables have the same number of observations as the dataset. If not, it gives an error.

In principle zeroes should not be a problem, but I see that if the zeroes are at the end of the series Tramo internally discard them and produces the linear series for the reduced sample. I have just changed the Tramolin code to consider this last zeroes as NA and avoid the error. I commited this change to the server.

Tramolin is a rather old function which I think was coded before we had the interface to tramo in gretl. I thought this was obsolete, but certainly I also have used it recently. I think that if the GUI interface to Tramo had a way to save the "linear" series we could retire Tramolin.
