Hi,

I'd like to as if $workdir inheritance is conditional (on something?) or unconditional. I'm asking because on my machine - which run under Debian testing/unstable - $workdir is always set to current dir. But on two Ubuntu-s I have (in Oracle cloud) $workdir is always set to $HOME.

There's a setting at least in the GUI program (by clicking on the displayed path in the main window) where you can choose to have the workdir always in the current dir. Maybe that setting is activated in your Debian install? I believe the settings would also be saved and remain active even if you upgrade / re-install gretl.

I just checked the corresponding help entry, and this setting also has a console equivalent: set use_cwd on (or off).

Hi,

I forgot to write: 'set use_cwd on/off' doesn't work on those two machines. And there is (at least) one more strange behavior: 'gretlcli some_dir/some_script.inp' doesn't work as well, I have to write: 'gretlcli .some_dir/some_script.inp'.

Cheers,
Marcin
