Dear Prof.

I have tried updating the SVAR add-on package to version 1.96 on my PC, yet the problem still persists. In fact, the bugs have compounded; the help pdf file could not even be opened, even from another PC.

Find below the error messages:

Thanks so much sir.

I tried running the SVEC model on my dell PC and it works well.

This made perplexed as I can't really figure out what is happening on the other machine.

I will try to reinstall the software and see how it goes.

Cheers.

You just have to follow the link from the gretl homepage, and then you
automatically get redirected to this:
http://gretl.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/gretldata.cgi?opt=SHOW_FUNCS

The lookup from within gretl should also still work automatically.
(Maybe take a little longer.)

I don't think SVEC_GUI has a problem, it's just the underlying SVAR
which it calls. So when SVAR is fixed, I would expect that SVEC_GUI
doesn't need to be changed. But of course this remains to be tested.
