First, I hope I got this on a new thread. If not, I'll try again.

Second, I hope everyone is healthy!

I'm not really sure what the "API" is. According to this page, the API can run on any version of windows? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/apiindex/windows-api-list

My question, though. Thanks very much for pointing out where to get the 64 bit version. I'm not an experienced sourceforge user, so I wouldn't know that I have to go to the projects / files / snapshots page or to the file listing / snapshot page to get to the most up to date versions.

When I go to the gretl main page https://gretl.sourceforge.net/index.html the second option on the left side listing is "gretl for Windows", so that's where I go to get gretl.

Is there a way for the main page to point more obviously to the snapshots page, and to explain that's where we can find most recent updates? This would be for people like me who don't really know much about sourceforge.

The link is fine, of course, but what Gene posted is also the valid download page for Windows. Note that "win32" does not only mean 32bit, as strange as it may seem, instead it refers to the API. (See for example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/cpp_questions/comments/kp3v9c/why_is_it_called_the_win32_library_is_there_a/)

But it's good to remind everybody that almost always users will want the 64bit version of gretl.
