Dear Sven,

I think I got the question: Oleg and Ignácio want to know why lag "-1" provides the value 12*($nobs/100)^1/4. When we want to use the default values suggested by Schwert (1989) in an automatic way we need to put the lag value "-1". It is just a kind of shortcut ;-)
