According to the screenshots you sent earlier (which the list
software rejected as too big, but which I saw as list owner), the
path to your TeX processor is not correctly entered in gretl.

You have:

Applications/Tex/latexit.app

No such file, should be:

/Applications/TeX/LaTeXit.app

(Note the leading slash and different case.)
