suppose I have (plenty of) IRFs to plot (with CF bands). What is the best option for me:

1. use an existing package for such tasks (if so, which one)?, or

2. write a comprehensive plot block and, somehow, combine it with gridplot?

To my knowledge, there is no package that specialises in IRF plotting. You best bet is IMO to write a gridplot block and write a function for the individual IRFs. Of course, you can take inspiration from the SVAR package code: the "SVAR_plots.inp" file contains some functions that you should be able to adapt to your needs fairly easily.
