Hello all translators,
I'm about to generate a new version of gretl.pot for the next
gretl release. The several .po files will be updated
accordingly. So if you have any uncommitted changes, please go
ahead and commit them.
(To clarify: usually I don't touch the .po files for those
languages where the translator has gretl CVS write permission.
The exception is this point in the release cycle, when the .pot
template needs updating.)

New subject: small bug
Hooray for the QLR test recently added. There is a small cosmetic bug. If
I run a regression, then do a QLR test, then do some other test, the model
window doesn't have a break between the QLR and the next test. For
example:

Excluding the constant, p-value was highest for variable 22 (d_psavert_2)
QLR test for structural break -
Null hypothesis: no structural break
Test statistic: F(5, 31) = 2.71302
(0 percent critical value = 0)RESET test for specification -
Null hypothesis: specification is adequate
Test statistic: F(2, 34) = 1.17283
with p-value = P(F(2, 34) > 1.17283) = 0.321698

Otherwise, all you can do is wait until Allin fixes it and a new windows
snapshot is out.
While we're at it, release of 1.6.0 is imminent. User-visible changes are
quite a few, but most importantly, there's been a big effort to restructure
things internally. If you guys could stress-test the windows snapshot and/or
your own home-compiled CVS version, that would be a big help.

Unfortunately I don't have time in the next couple of days, but I was
thinking that maybe a more formalized testing period would be useful to
make sure that no existing things were broken by the internal
restructuring. I have in mind things like the histogram bug (continuous
vs. discrete) that appeared in 1.5.1. (No offense intended, Jack, it's
just an example ;-)
So maybe put out a 1.6 release candidate for two or three weeks? It
would also help if Allin and Jack could tell us what areas have been
rewritten and that are therefore most likely to contain new bugs.
Btw, I'm very happy with gretl's progress!

Aside from the line-break bug there's also a more substantive
bug here: "(0 percent critical value = 0)". Both are fixed in
CVS now.
I'll put up a new Windows snapshot shortly.
