It is new behaviour (in CVS), and it is inadvertent (fallout from
fixing a related bug). This is now fixed in CVS.

Gretl doesn't stop on script errors anymore?
by Henrique Andrade
Dear Gretl Team,
Recently I have noticed that Gretl doesn't stop when some line of my script
has an error. Is this a new behaviour? If so, can I change it back?
Best regards,

Saving Models with the Desired Signs
by Henrique Andrade
Dear Gretl Community,
I'm trying to estimate several models and save only the models that
show the correct signs on the estimated parameters.
Something like this:
open australia.gdt
ols le const lpau lpus
if b[2]>0 & b[3]<0
"Model 1" <- ols le const lpau lpus
else
"do notnhing"
endif
Is this possible?
Best regards,
Henrique

First of all, is X11 really installed and working? If so, you
should find an entry "X11" under Applications/Utilities, and
double-clicking on that should bring up an X terminal.
If that works, then try the trouble-shooting advice at
http://gretl.sourceforge.net/osx.html and
http://gretl.sourceforge.net/README.pdf

Dear Lawrence, which Mac OS/X version are you using (Tiger, Leopard,

x11 problem
by Lawrence Boyd
I am having a problem in using GRETL. I have successfully installed
GRETL and the GTK+2.14 on my MAC. When I try to use GRETL I get
Gretl.app requires Apple's X11. Downloading and installing X11 I get,
"You cannot install X11 on this volume. Newer software already exists
on your computor." Which sounds like I do have a version of x11 but it
is more recent than the one Gretl would recognize. Has anyone else had
this problem and how can I get Gretl to work?
Cheers

That should be straightforward.

Yes, it's more difficult. The thing is that estimation of a
restricted VECM is already quite tricky even without wrapping it
in a replication loop. But of course it's doable in principle.
