Dear Allin
Ok and thanks, I can replicate what you described. It is ok under win
XP to save the plot as an EMF file. However, it is still the same
"...conversion input..." problem if I save it as an EPS file.
Additionally, I note that "Copy to clipboard" is disabled under ubuntu
(remains enabled under win xp). Is it intended?

A couple of things are now fixed in this area. Conversion should
now be to CP950 for EMF files in a traditional Chinese locale; and
even if there is a recoding error you should see only one error
message. Whether Chinese text will display correctly in an EMF
file on Windows, I can't say. I'm not sure that it's supported by
gnuplot 4.5.
