When I follow your exact steps, I don't get a crash, either! What I did
before is to use a right-button-click (context menu) to add the model to
the table, and that's how the crash still happens (afterwards, but every
time).
Btw, a slight variant of the crash recipe is to drag the model to the
table, and then trying to add the model again by right-button-click.
So I guess Allin was also dragging instead of right-button-clicking. (No
idea about using the normal menu item, forgot to test that one.)
