[Gretl-users] Suggest expand the length of variable name from the limit of 15 characters to 30 characters

Dear developers, For the long-run development of gretl, may be it had better to expand the length of variable name from the limit of 15 characters to 30 characters. Nowadays many commercial software have expanded the length of variable name to 30 or more characters to allow descriptive variable names. Gretl had better keep up with the development for easier data import and descriptive variable name. Also, the 8-character limit on the obs or date column is too restricted. Had better expand to 15 characters. Are there any plan on this? Beast regards, YiMin Chen
