Sorry for the delay. Today it works just fine, on the same data that
it failed on previously. The "twisty" referred to earlier (the
expand/collapse icon) does indeed show up, unlike the previous
instances. I didn't restart the computer between the various failed
attempts. However, I did so this morning. So, it seems to work now.

Do you get as far as the dialog asking how many lags you want?
What is the name of the variable you selected for adding lags?
What is the frequency of the dataset?
Does it work if you open the supplied dataset data9-7 (under
File, Open data, Sample file, and the Ramanathan tab), select
the variable named "QNC", and do Add, Lags... ?
