Hi guys,
Just as an update on the script to retrieve covid-19 data from ECDC. This one works:
<hansl>
string site =
"https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/sites/default/files/documents/COVID-19-geographic-disbtribution-worldwide-"
string fname = "2020-04-02.xlsx"
string URL = site ~ fname
open @URL --quiet
setobs countriesAndTerritories dateRep --panel-vars
</hansl>
In the string fname, you need to change manually for the date you wish in the format
yyyy-mm-dd or eventually use some gretl function to update the date to current day
automatically.
Best wishes and stay safe!
