The image here is of a Windows Explorer window. Do you mean that you
cannot access the gretl datafiles from there (for example, by
double-clicking on one, which should open it in gretl)?
Or is it just gretl's own "/File/Open data/Sample file" access that is
broken?
I'm looking into the relevant code. Give me an hour or two and I might
have something. Meanwhile, are you running the 32- or 64-bit version
of gretl for Windows? That info is available under /Help/About gretl.
