Many things differ between the 1.7.9 release and current
CVS/snapshot. See http://gretl.sourceforge.net/ChangeLog.html
To verify which version of gretl you are really running on any
given machine, go to /Help/About gretl : you will see the version
ID and also the build date. The Windows snapshot is up to date as
of today (that is, if you are running the latest snapshot you will
see today's date).
