Hi:
I was wondering about three things:
1- Is there an easy way to conduct analysis of variance in GRETL?
There is the "differences of means"->"asuming equal variances"
test in
the data menu but it only accepts 2 variables. I don't see any menu
item for ANOVA.
I don't think that's implemented, but imho it certainly is a reasonable
feature request to consider.... (however, I'm not the one to ask, which
brings me to your second point)
2- Secondly, I was wondering how many subscribers there are for this
Gretl-users mailing list. That would be a good way to have an idea
about the number of people actively involved in this project.
Don't know how many subscribers there are, but in case of gretl I'd say
it's uncorrelated with development activity, which is far above of what
you would expect from the pretty low volume of this list. Look at the
user guide and you find the two guys doing all the work.
3- Finally, is there a planned release date for the next version of
the program? Should we expect to see it soon?
Again I don't know, but why is that important to you? Anything else
except Anova that the current gretl doesn't do?
(Although actually it may be important because Allin and Jack said that
in future versions it will be easier for users like you and me to add
functionality through a revamped scripting plugin interface!)
Cheers,
