To "see the internals": generate a boxplot in the GUI, right-click on the plot
and select "Save to session as icon". Then close the plot, open the Icon view
(if it's not already open), right-click on the plot icon and select "Edit plot
commands".

Hi Allin,
that is not the kind of internals I meant. I would need to know how the boxplot
"feeds" the gnuplot file, so I can try to combine it with the plot structure for
the violin plot. I.e. the raw boxplot function (if it is based on the hansl language at
all?).
Of course I need to figure out first how to add the plots "by hand" for which
the plt file is fine.
