Hi
I have found three links that have extensive info on
creating universal binaries. I am afraid they are long
articles and since I am not a software developer, I
cannot comment on how useful they may be:
1) Introduction to Universal Binary Programming
Guidelines
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/universal_binary/
2) Buinlding an open source universal binary
http://developer.apple.com/opensource/buildingopensourceuniversal.html
3) From the MOZILLA developer center:
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Mac_OS_X_Universal_Binaries
Thanks again.
best

Ah, yes. The .dmg is indeed a PPC binary, not
universal. Can you
point me at any good info on creating universal
binaries? I
wonder, has Apple set things up so you can easily
cross-compile
Intel binaries on PPC?
Has anyone yet tried the gretl 1.6.1 .dmg on PPC
Mac? I wonder if
the missing-dylib problem occurs there too, or if
it's connected
with trying to run on Intel.
