thanks for confirming what I thought I understood to be the case. I was using
unconditional ML estimation.
However the question arose as I like to check out the final equation form against the
fitted values, and was having difficulty in matching them to the fitted values when
including the lagged residuals weighted by the AR2 coefficient estimates.
Will check it out again.
