OK, I will try again to configure some email alert from stackexchange
(CrossValidated/Stackoverflow) whenever the gretl tag is used there.
(Personal alert I mean.) In the past I somehow failed or didn't find
the option...
It seems that it isn't possible (anymore), see here:
https://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/375752/is-subscribing-to-a-tag-b...
Apparently you can get an RSS feed, but to me that seems to be a "more
dying" technology than email. This doesn't make it very practical to
follow the gretl tag. They probably want you to spend time on their site
more often.
BTW, there were a bunch of questions on stats.stackexchange tagged with
"gretl" this year. I wonder why all the stackexchange fanatics here
didn't respond... One thing is clear, any increased visibility of gretl
on those platforms will not happen automagically. It's not a panacea but
requires effort.
If anybody has a hint how to follow the gretl tag there in a practical
way, it will be appreciated.
thanks,
sven
