Not sure I understand -- do you want to have irregularly sized
bins? Otherwise, given the range of the variable, choosing the
number of bins implies a bin width, doesn't it?
Well, maybe I didn't express myself clear enough.
For example, if I use the sample file greene5_1.gdt and I plot a
frequency plot for the variable realgovt with 7 bins, the bin
cutpoint positions are 259, 462, 665, 869, and so on. I want to be
able to specify the cutpoint positions to be 200, 400, 600, 800, and
so on, instead. This would be possible if the user could specify the
cutpoint positions of the bins.
