At this point, it would be very useful if people running windows could
download the most recent installer from sourceforge and report:
a) the Windows version they use
b) If the error occurs or not
c) if (b), as many details as possible

I can add that I also got the exit error message with the Windows snapshot
the corrected the error message complaining about some obsolete help files,
but I forgot to mention it here:

However, I do not think I got the exit error message with the previous
Windows snapshot that had the error message complaining about some obsolete
