Try running gretl in German.
as the German translator, I wouldn't want to be a showstopper. Maybe the
German menu names could be shortened somewhat (though it's not so
trivial, really, if the names are supposed to be meaningful translations
-- German-speaking list members, I'm glad to hear your suggestions to
replace 'Werkzeuge', 'Hinzufügen', 'Stichprobe'!).
But I also would like to clarify that I'm a bit worried about the sheer
number, not so much the total width of the menu bar.
