Matplotlib is very cool indeed. However, it's a python library. For the
enlightened ones who use unix this is not such a big deal, but most
windows people don't even know what python is. You'll agree that it's far
easier to include a copy of gnuplot in a gretl win installer than python.
OTOH, a little bird told me that someone is actively working on python
bindings for libgretl (via SWIG), so in the future you may have the
possibility of using matplotlib and gretl together if you feel like :-)
