[Gretl-users] Package MCO_Ridge.gfn to be retired soon
Dear all,
this is again an announcement about contributed function package
reorganization: The package MCO_Ridge.gfn by Uriel RodrÃguez RamÃrez is
going to be retired soon due to certain technical issues. Uriel couldn't
be reached anymore to update the package.
If you are an active user of the package you would have to keep a local
copy for yourself. Alternatively you could use the package ridge.gfn
which has been available since 2017 and which also performs Ridge
regression, as the name suggests.
(Disclaimer: I am the author of ridge.gfn, but this has nothing to do
with the removal of MCO_Ridge as the two packages have lived happily in
coexistence so far. Obviously this is open source software and I don't
get any profit from it.)
