Oh, darn. I'm afraid that didn't do the trick, Sven. By 'try again', I
assume you meant reconfigure gretl from scratch after -sudo ldconfig-.
Unfortunately I get the same error message from Kickoff, viz:
You want to do ldconfig after installation.
