In that case, an one create an array of strings that could be accessed from a loop similar
to a matrix? Also I had some trouble with labels. Should its argument be a list, a
variable name or a series ID number?
Thanks

On (a) yes, see the "setinfo" command. On (b) you have the "labels"
command to print the labels. To get an existing label as a string
variable you'd have to print it to file and read it back.
