Is this with a new installation of gretl 1.8.0? The thing is that
once gretl has been run the preferences are saved, so if Courier
was the default on first running, that will be saved in the
registry. With 1.8.0, I think that with a fresh installation on
Windows (no pre-existing registry entries) MS Gothic should come
up as the default if the language is Chinese. However, maybe you
can tell me if the heuristic for Chinese is right: I'm assessing
that by whether or not the Windows code page is 950.
