I can't find an easy way to do it.
Some html fixes the problem:
<ol>
<li>first entry
Code example, <pre> .... </pre> . # (preferably with some
indentation)
</li>
<li>second entry
Another code example
</li>
<ol>
I don't think it is desirable but it's the only solution I can think of.
