I have a feeling that in the next version this few things will be corrected.
As I said, I insist on Exogenous rather than Deterministic (only for const
and trend).
In the most of the literature I found so (software too).
Average user must know what in VAR terminology means exogenous and what is
weakly exogenous in VECM terminology. This is my opinion.
Ok. Now I see that we are two for these changes.

Well, changing one word to another is not going to prevent them from adding
new features, I'd say.
And I think a good and consistent user interface is very important
especially for a program like
gretl. In terms of raw econometric and number-crunching features there are
quite a few alternatives
out there. What sets gretl apart (imho) is mainly (but not only, of course)
the intuitive interface.
