In fact, I quite like that, because it reinforces the "gears" metaphor for
hansl scripting.
Yes, I like it too.
By the way: I have the feeling that, in the era of Android, our
current set
of icons for the main window looks a bit passé, two-dimensional and, most of
all, quite heterogenous in therm of style. I personally don't mind from an
aesthetic viewpoint, but I realise that this may be bad marketing for the
project.
Most of the icons we're using (counting both the main window and the
toolbars at the top of various other windows) are from GTK_STOCK, and
hence (a) they're themeable and (b) they ought to be reasonably
homogeneous in style. However, we also have a number of "home made" ones
-- to cover cases where there's no suitable GTK_STOCK icon. Agreed, these
are not in the same stylistic mode as GTK_STOCK -- and in fact they can't
be, in general, unless we make them themeable too.
If we could find a more comprehensive themeable icon set that would be
good. At a pinch, some of the home-made ones could perhaps just be dropped
with no great loss.
