Thanks very much for answering so quickly. You're right. On Debian,
*.lang files are in the directory
/usr/share/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs/. If I copy gretl.lang
there, it works.
I ran "updatedb" and then "locate gretl.lang" but I can't find
any
installed copu of gretl.lang on my system... I also saved the output
from the "make install" command, but it doesn't contain any references
to gretl.lang, or gtksourceview AFAIK.
