Hi,
I am new to this list so I am not sure if this is the right place to
report bugs. But since I didn’t find any other place to do so, I will
just start:
Hello, this is certainly the right place to report bugs.
The menu item for compacting series does not work correctly. Although
the option “last” is specified in the attributes, another method to
compact is used. In contrast, if you use the command line interface,
everything works fine.
Can you describe more precisely what you're expecting and what you're
getting instead? Also the version you're using. A quick check didn't
give me obvious rubbish. But if the GUI and CLI results vary that would
be a problem. (So BTW, what exactly are the commands you used?)
BTW, you're file has decimal separators (comma) as well as thousands
separators (dot). I would try to avoid that, it's quite difficult for a
program to figure out three different kinds of separators (decimal,
thousands, columns).
If you want to try out yourself, just try to compact these two files via
the menu to a frequency of 1 year. A lot of data gets lost at the
beginning of the series.
Well a lot of your series are only complete for the year 2014, so yes no
annualized values are being produced before and after. I guess it can be
argued that if the user chooses "end value" as the compaction method and
the end value is present, that this should not give a missing value.
(And analagously for starting value, obviously.)
But as I said before, if results differ between GUI and CLI, that smells
like a bug in any case.
thanks,
sven
